being in love

all i can think about is working on my quilt! last night was the second of the seven week beginning quilting class i am taking. i love everything about it: the teacher, the tools, the space....i love the rotary cutter and that cool square ruler!, ironing, sewing, ironing again. i wanted to wear my first block home on my chest.
it's like being in love.

Where does Jan weigh in on the quilt-love issue, Laura?

At least you are quilting. I asked for and got a rotary cutter last year for Christmas and have spent hours cutting up fabric because it's fun and I don't even quilt.

lisa h., jan is really happy for this new love affair, but she worries where all the quilts will go.
karma, you are a riot. i bet you are good at the rotary cutter!
jennifuzz, love is infectious, you know. you are welcome to move in. i think you already know one of your neighbors.

Where are you taking the class?

This class is at University California at Davis, The Craft Center. It is an awesome place to take classes. There are wonderful facilities. I have access to the sewing lab since I am taking the beginning quilting class.
All communities should have a place like this. It rocks!
