epiphany
growing up, the epiphany was an important day. the wise men statues would be placed with the rest of the creche. there was always a small present placed in the christmas tree for my brother & me. one year i received a yellow fountain pen. i loved practicing my handwriting with it so much. deconstructing christmas decorations would take place after january 6th. always. i have always remebered dates such as today. dates, numbers, hold some meaning for me. i look forward to transferring all the birthdays & anniversaries (not necessarily wedding) from the old calendar to the new calendar. i turn 40 this year. i was counting backwards to when my half birthday is. it is hard for me to comprehend it has taken me all these years to realize today is my half birthday. today. january 6th.

There is no such thing as half birthdays.
Kurt, you're just saying that because you turned "over 40" and 1/2 last month.
for all of you who missed my 1/2 birthday - october 19th, feel free to send presents for my 3/4 birthday on January 19th.
I can't seem to remember who I am, but anyway...epiphany means a lot to me, too. Espcially since we saw the parade in San Miguel de Allende with the "wise men" on horses and (unbeliveable) a camel.
Real magic. Thanks for recalling this!
Happy 13/24ths birthday! And, I just tagged you :-). You're it!
How sweet, and your shop looks fantastic.
